It's Spooky Season at il Mirtillo Cafe! We love celebrating Halloween with yummy treats and fun décor. There's also nothing like the smell of nutmeg and cinnamon baking to really make you get into the Fall spirit. Light your favorite pumpkin spice candle, and get ready to plan your next fabulous Halloween party with il Mirtillo Cafe! We've designed muffin and cupcake making stations to get younger and older children into the spirit of the season! Take your pick of sweet and healthy, nut-free and dairy-free options so that all may be included in the fun. Add fun, creative toppings like candy eyes, whipped cream, frosting colors, sprinkles, and more! What's your favorite Halloween candy or treat? Mine is definitely Nerds in any shape or form. In fact, at the Farmer's Market the other day, a sweet trick or treater was dressed as a Nerds Princess. Great idea!

We had a blast at Halloween at the Farmer's Market this past weekend! My daughter is going to be Spiderman this year, and has taken on the identity with passion. That being said, we have plenty of spider webs and spiders floating around our house. We put some of these miscellaneous items to good use for the Market as decorations for the cart! It was also exciting to add the kids painted pumpkins, which was also a fun project to keep those little bodies busy. I love a good ol' DIY. What's your Halloween tradition?

Now, for the important part: some of the seasonal favorites ordered! We had an unseasonably warm day yesterday, so a lot of people were in favor of iced drinks, and that sounds yummy to me! Here were some of the flavors: pumpkin, brown sugar cinnamon, lavender pear, salted caramel, and vanilla. We also offered whipped cream in dairy-free and dairy versions for a splash of fun. The kiddos loved getting their very own whipped cream "cappuccinos" to match their parents. Everyone was super creative in their drink choices, which is always a good time. Iced cappuccinos topped with cream, iced and hot lattes with splashes of flavor, mocha lattes and cappuccinos, iced coffees, shots and more! Our Rocket was dialed in and pulling some excellent shots yesterday! We're grateful for good weather and good coffee, always! Thanks so much for visiting us yesterday, I absolutely love meeting everyone and swapping stories over a good ol' cup of coffee. Can't wait to sling it with y'all soon!
